Dr. Miriam Grossman - Exposing the Lies of Sex Education
Miriam Grossman, M.D, is the author of Unprotected: A Campus Psychiatrist Reveals How Political Correctness Endangers Every Student, published in November 2006 by Sentinel (Penguin).

Unprotected draws on Dr. Grossman's 10 years' experience as a staff psychiatrist at UCLA Student Psychological Services. She has been interviewed on over 100 radio shows, Fox News, many more, and her book received positive reviews in The Wall Street Journal, National Review, The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator, Townhall.com, NewsMax.com, and elsewhere.

Dr. Grossman graduated cum laude from Bryn Mawr College. She attended New York University Medical School and completed her residency in psychiatry, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, through Cornell University.

Dr. Grossman is also the author of Wonder of Becoming You: How a Jewish Girl Grows Up, published in 1988 and has a new book coming in August ’09 called You’re Teaching My Child What? A physician exposes the lies of sex ed and how they harm your child.

She lives in Los Angeles with her family and a beagle, Willie Prozac.

Doug Carter - Survivability and Sustainability, When Talent Isn't Enough
Doug Carter has served as
Senior Vice President at EQUIP since 1996 (John Maxwell is the Founder of Equip).  Doug and his wife, Winnie, served as missionaries to American Indians (Native Americans) for more than sixteen years. In 1980, Dr. Carter became president of Ohio Christian University (formerly Circleville Bible College) where he served nine years, helping prepare men and women for Christian service.

From 1989 until he joined EQUIP in 1996, Carter served as Vice President of World Gospel Mission, an interdenominational mission agency with 330 career missionaries sharing the gospel in twenty-eight nations. He is an outstanding communicator who has ministered in more than eighty nations worldwide.

Carter is the author of Big Picture People, published by Beacon Hill Press. This book is a vital resource for Christians who want to press beyond mediocrity and rise to excellence in their faith.  His book, Raising More Than Money, published by Thomas Nelson, is a textbook on Biblical giving, ministry funding, and Kingdom partnership.

Carter represents EQUIP in churches and conferences across America and teaches in EQUIP leadership conferences around the world. He also serves on the board of directors of World Gospel Mission and several other organizations.

Doug and Winnie reside in Atlanta. They are the parents of three children - Angie, Eric and Jason.

Allan was a co-founder of i-Cube, which had a highly successful IPO in June, 1998, and was later acquired by Razorfish.

Prior to founding i-Cube, Allan was a technology strategy consultant at Arthur Anderson and First Consulting Group. Allan holds an M.B.A from The Anderson School at UCLA, and a B.A. from Brandeis University, and attended the London School of Economics and London Business School. Allan has been involved with various nonprofit organizations, including helping to start the annual Challenge For Charity event among leading west coast business schools, a 17-year involvement with the International Visitors Center of Los Angeles, and 3 years as the president of Century City Toastmasters. Shaunti Feldhahn began her career as an analyst on Wall Street and today is a bestselling author, speaker, and nationally-syndicated newspaper columnist. Her recent bestsellers, For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men, and For Men Only: A Straightforward Guide to the Inner Lives of Women, have led to great life-change—and plenty of fascinating conversation—for men and women around the country. Her newest book, For Young Women Only, coauthored with youth speaker Lisa Rice, is causing buzz among teenage girls. She has also authored two true-to-life spiritual thrillers.

Shaunti’s background as an analyst is the launching point  for the compelling and eye-opening nature of her books, talks, and columns. She holds a master’s in public policy from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s in government and economics from The College of William & Mary. Prior to becoming an author, she worked in the financial arena on Capitol Hill and later on Wall Street, analyzing the Japanese financial crisis for the highest level decision makers of the Federal Reserve System.

David Mahan
David Mahan, CEO of Frontline Youth Communications, is a dynamic speaker, mentor, husband and father who benefits from the wisdom of over a decade of working with some of society’s most disadvantaged youth. Through serving in the trenches of schools, detention centers and city streets, David has become skilled in delivering just the right mix of humor, in-your-face toughness and compassion. Phil and Vickie Burress - Fighting pornography in your community
Phil and Vickie Burress are recognized leaders in the pro-family arena. Luis Galdamez
Luis Galdamez uses his dramatic and exciting life story to dynamically illustrate the benefits of a lifestyle of abstinence until marriage.  Luis' communication skills have been utilized throughout the country.  He has appeared on Telemundo, Fox News, Univision, and ABC News as well as newspapers including the LA Times and Orange County Register.  Fluent in both English and Spanish, Luis’s “BOOOM!!!...HOW YOU DOIN??’” energetic style connects with youth regardless of their ethnic background – white, African-American, Native-Americans and Hispanic youth respond to his messages.  Luis is the executive director of La Familia Hispana and his main passion is to reach the Hispanic youth.

Keith Deltano

Keith Deltano has served and worked with youth as a military police officer, public school teacher, youth leader, private counselor, and educational comedian. Keith taught sixth grade and is a winner of the Teaching Excellence Award. He has been listed in Who’s Who of American Teachers and Outstanding young Men of America. His parent workbook, Fighting Back: How to promote abstinence in a sex saturated world has been well received by both parents and abstinence educators. He has taught many public school and civic organizations how to increase adult support and involvement in youth programming by implementing his multiple school assembly/parent workshop formula. His CDs and DVDs have won numerous awards and he has received the National Impact Award. He has presented to youth, parents and educators in 46 of the lower 48 states.

Kathleen McGee - Don't Get Played: Helping teens avoid emotional grooming and dating violence
For 22 years, Kathie McGee has worked with at-risk teens at Boys Town, first as a classroom teacher and now as a trainer, author, and public speaker. Author of several books, including Unmasking Sexual Con Games: Helping Teens Avoid Emotional Grooming and Dating Violence, Who’s Raising Your Child: Battling the Marketers for Your Child’s Heart and Soul and There are NO Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter, Kathie presents workshops nationwide.

A native of Omaha, NE, Kathie earned her BA and MA from Creighton University, and together with husband Chris, is raising a school-age son.

Catherine Wood - Making your evaluation results work for you
Catherine Wood, President of ATM Education, has 22 years of extensive experience with educational services and with management of governmental grant resources. Since 2002, ATM Education has served over 160,000 students and 15,000 adults in 35 Ohio counties. With current funding, ATM is serving 21 Ohio counties. In the counties where RUC, Relationships Under Construction curriculum, which Catherine authored, is most implemented the teen birth rates, teen abortion rates and STD rates are decreasing dramatically - some by 50%.


Rick & Barb Wise - Living a life of integrity
Barb Wise tells her story of becoming positive – HIV+. Rick Wise shows how choosing abstinence protected him from acquiring HIV/AIDS. Together their stories intertwine hope with facts and skills: a good marriage is possible, men can choose real protection, boundary setting is important, the difference between being “in-love” and committed love, abstinence after being sexually active is attainable, and the important role of a father. In addition to communicating what living with HIV/AIDS entails, Barb and Rick will give some insights into what young people are saying about abstinence! Their goal is to inspire and encourage you!

Jennifer Roback Morse, PH.D brings a unique perspective to the subjects of love, marriage, sexuality, and the family. She will share updated statistics and ideas for you as you reach youth, parents and administrators in your area. Dr. Morse will present two unique sessions:  Smart Sex: Finding Life-long Love in a Hook-up World and Why Marriage Matters

Mike Long
Mike Long is one of the pioneers of abstinence education.  Since 1985, Mike has trained over 60,000 educators and youth leaders how to effectively teach sexual abstinence until marriage as the standard for youth.  His "Everyone Is NOT Doing It" video series and materials are being used in over 5000 school systems and youth organizations throughout the US.  Mike has spoken to over 1 million teenagers and is currently one of the most sought after speakers for Pregnancy Resource Center fundraising banquets, parent conferences, and teacher trainings.  His website is www.mikelong.com.
